In honor of the Foam Universe's full first year of existence, I've decided to write a short article on our short span of existence.

How should I start? Oh yes!

From humble beginnings 

When the site's forum was first launched back in October 1, 2006 the site was very small. I wanted to open a Nerf site without the flaming and harshness displayed on some of the other Nerf sites.....I guess I've been semi-successful so far. 

 In the very beginning of the forums on the site were still under the old clan name "The Foam Fighters". However due to confusion with the clan, the name was changed  to Foam Universe.That explains the unchanged URL.

When I first started the site we had 2 MODs and 1 Admin that was, Duck_Slayer, Flannel, and me....Almost all of those members  were picked up from Nerf-HQ in an advertisement thread. As with any new forum the post production and activity was less than pitiful. But things picked up after General Cole came to the site, and because of his activity in the forums he was soon upgraded to moderator.

It did take awhile, but the member count did start to pick up....Unfortunately, some members here have come and gone....Even GCole, and Jwasko left for alittle while. But even when some left, it seemed someone new always showed up. Over the small time the site has been here, its gone over several design changes...New banners, new buttons, new content.....much has changed here.

The Present Time

Today even though the site has grown nicely, Foam Universe is not comparable Nerf Haven or NerfHQ in forum activity or content...But in its small lifetime it has become(to my best knowledge) the fourth largest Nerf web forum on the web(next to NerfX)!

Its been a fun ride being a part of this forum, and the ride ain't over yet!

Thanks for the acknowledgment. And just so you know, I'll probably be relatively MIA over every long break (mostly Winter and Summer) until I/we get a computer to replace the piece of crap that my family has at home.

I didn't even think this site existed before a few months ago. 
I've been meaning to post some of my newer mods, but have been too lazy.

Honestly, you should mention me for being the biggest trouble maker(next to nstrike)
seriously though, i gotta put some mods up, i did say i would.

And you were not really a troublemaker, at least you did not try to be, you just had a few run-ins with some other members.
