Alright, the title pretty much explains itself. I decided it would look cool if i put a bayonet on my Nitefinder. I didn't want this to end up like those guns you see with PVC strapped to the side so I decided to make it look streamline. I also thought this would be cool because I have never seen one on a nerf gun before.
This is the list of materials:
  • 1 nitefinder
  • 1/2 in PVC
  • PVC insulator
  • Hot glue
[/list]
well...here it is!

I give you...The Nitefinder Bayonet

It's pretty simple to make so here is a write up in case anyone wants to do it.

First remove this light fixture from your nitefinder.

The insides should now look like this.

Next remove the screw holder that I have indicated. It obstructs the PVC

Now select a length of 1/2in. PVC for the bayonet shaft.

Then lay a solid bed of hot glue and place the PVC in it.

Put the gun back together and you should have something like this.

Slide the PVC insulator over the PVC and your in business!

So there it is the nitefinder bayonet. I would like to see if anyone else does this mod so I f you do it feel free to post it!

Several people have done exactly this but I think that if you dont have darts you might as well dig yourself a deep hole and hope that it's too deep for them to hit you. It also adds extra weight to the front o the gun which is good for some people but idon't favor it. It depends on your style of gunning.

Oh yeah, I see now that's a good suggestion, I might end up doing that on a different nitefinder.

You don't need a long stick to barrel tap, and if you're that close, you can barrel tap anyways.
