Modification Writing Rules v2.00These are new rules and apply to all modifications written as of January 16, 2007.
1. Modifications must contain pictures! Mods that are posted as of January 16, 2007 that don’t have pictures will be deleted with little or no warning...So if you don’t have pictures or a camera please don’t post MODs.
2.Check your grammar! The main purpose of a MOD write up is to aid the process of modifying your gun if the grammar is bad what’s the point?
3. Mods must be detailed. They don’t have to be four pages long, but please make them easy to understand! Also extremely short write ups that make no sense whatsoever will be deleted without warning.
Modification Writing TipsHere are some tips you might find useful when writing up a modification.
1. Quality of pictures: All mods on this site must have pictures, it is generally looked down upon on most Nerf websites if you don't include pictures. Along with that try to make sure you get clear shots, even if your camera is junk try to get the shots in focus.
2. Spelling and grammar: Nothing is worse than reading a post and not being able to understand it. If you don't have Microsoft Word or another commercial word processor, I recommend you download
Abi-Word. It runs on Mac, Linux and Windows you can use it to check your grammar and spelling.
3. Full Titles: I know it may be an impulse just to write the abbreviation for the gun in the thread title. But this may lead to confusion with newer members, so please write the full name of the gun in the title box of the thread.
4. Incomplete Mods: if you have mod that is incomplete please don't post it in the "Modifications" section. Incomplete mods should go in the "General Nerf" section until development is completed. The same goes if you need advice for modding something, please post that in the "Help/*Censored*" section.
Thanks guys!
