Okay, so maybe I'm not really an old timer. I don't know how old anyone else is but I am currently in my first year of college...meanwhile I got my first Nerf gun (the Sharpshooter 1) when I was 4 or 5 years old.

I collected a fairly large arsenal of Nerf guns over the years (maybe I'll take pics when I go home this weekend) and eventually had enough for small but fun Nerf Wars in my "game room."

I'm not sure what makes it a "game" room, but it is where we played many games of "Nerf Battle" (as we called it back in the day). It just so happens that I also had a large plastic playset in my game room, which could serve as a fort for one team.

Almost any time my cousins of friends came over to my house, we had a Nerf battle. One team got the fort and the others got the doorway (such that the second base was actually the laundry room). I would say that there were never more than 6 of us in a single battle, and every team was able to have about twice as many Nerf guns as team members if not more than that.

As with many youthful games, there were no rules and really no way to win...we just fought and fought until a) it was time for everyone to leave, b) the grown-ups told us to quiet down, c) we broke something, or d) someone got hurt.

Those were the good ol' days... :azn:

Good story and I feel for ya about the calculus crap... no i really do.

woa a sharpshooter at 4!, my parents wouldnt trust me with nerf guns intel I was 11.

At  least I think I was 4...it's kinda blurry these days. But I was definitely younger than 11.

And, actually, I got it from one of my friends for my birthday. But it was still cool of my parents to let me have it and subsequently buy me more Nerf.
I'll have to thank them for that.  :smiley:

It's good to see a real nerfer (plays them for what they are and not for relistic looks, most move on to airsoft and paintball) who's first nerf gun was ss1.

We need some vets over here.  Like CXWQ, VACC, OMC, or Groove.
