This will tell you how to make a easy homemade melee weapon. Materials needed:
Pencil
Hot glue gun
Duct tape
2 stock darts
take the stock darts and rip the heads off so you have 2 empty tubes of foam. Stick them on the pencil(Which should ge sharpened or cut down to however long you want it to be.) then glue the ends and wrap the handle in duct tape for grip and to make it look cooler.

Well it is just an idea. If you found a rod with the same diameter, you could make it as long as you want, but it would take more darts.

Yes I could see someone swinging a rod with foam darts attached to it... doesn't seem very safe. The nerf darts are to thin.

That can be solved with some regular holeless FBR glued on to the end.

Or we could not make a sword and say we did. Because A, I guarantee you will never go t a respectable war and see one person fighting another person with a sword of foam. B, if people did see other people fighting with a sword they would probably stop whatever they were doing, and play a little game called kill the wannabe samurai.

I plan on making one of these. Exept with a wooden dowl rod. I think I will make it about a foot and a half long. and put fbr at the end.... I just thought of an idea of how to make a homemade dart. Take 2 inches of wooden dowl rod. glue small pieces of fbr to each end... shove it down the barrel.... When I get home from Vaca im going to try it.
