okay my idea is for night fighting I've got a LS and had an idea as of late tape or mount on a small light or lazer but you will probaley need to mod it first unless you want to waste tape. The longshot is an awesome gun moded ranges almost as a crossbow (so I've heard ) and great Rof.

I mounted a maglite to the rail on my longshot. I just wrapped it in e-tape. It works great! Grin

Just put a laser pointer in the place where the bi-pod is.  The Ls will never rival the X-bow

I really dont know, a well modded LS will give any modded X-Bow a run for its money because of two reasons...
The X-Bow is hard to find and expensive, while the LS just hit the stores. And you have to heavily mod your X-Bow just so it will shoot with a clip, th LS comes with clips and the only real mods you have to do to get good range are a spring and o-ring replacement, and a barrel mod. That is my two cents on the subject...

Crossbows are easy to find, just not cheap.  I got mine for 40, not much more than an LS.  The prices went up, but too bad.  The only hard thing about giving the X-bow a clip is making the clip.  The X-bows rate of fire is just as good with a breech as a Ls with a replaced spring, not to mention that it will never jam.

True, all true. In the power and reliability department yes, the X-bow dominates. But for the average nerfer who really never gets a chance to get out to thrift stores and has no real time to be on ebay 24/7 the LS dominates in my oppinion for the simplicity of gettting a decent multishot clip-fed gun at a reasonable price that I can get at the store and not have to wait for shipping and have to hope it arrives in one peice.

You do have a point  there.  The X-bows are available only on ebay/thrift stores (blessed ones).  Whatever.  I personally think that the X-bow will always be the king.  It also feels better to use.

True... So the X-bow remains supreme overlord but the LS is a close second.
