Yes, I meant a valve to fire. And, unless you want to modify the solenoid, you might as well just use a ball valve. My solenoid valve, at least, didn't work well at all.

I dont think they have 1" to 1/2" reducers, do they? Thought you had to build 1/4" at a time. So the ball valve should be near the CPVC barrels then? At the base before the break apart?

I don't know about 1' to 1/2," But I've purchased both 2" to 3/4" and 2" to 1/2" reducers (aka bushings) at Lowes. It all depends on your harware store's selection, though...

OK, went to Home Depot, found all the pieces... Tell me if I am missing anything: In order from left to right if staring at the gun.
1" PVC End cap
1" PVC Air tank
1" PVC coupler
1" to 1/2" PVC brushing
1/2" PVC Male adapter
1/2" PVC barrel
1/2" PVC coupler
1/2" CPVC coupler
1/2" CPVC T adapter (right saying? its like a T shaped coupler)
1/2" x2 CPVC 90 degree couplers

Random: Bike pump and PVC cement

Question: my dad said that we could try to (instead of looking for a schrader valve) we could buy some cheap bike tire or inner-tube and cut out the valve with a little bit of the tire/tube around it. Or should I just go and find a valve...Heres a picture:

I thin some people do that, with the inner tube...but, if you go to Advance Auto Parts (or was it Auto Zone?), they should have them separate.

Alright. I will build this probably Wednesday. Since I need to study tomorrow and Thanksgiving Break starts Wednesday.

Use 3in PVC for the tank.  Make the tank 10inches long and then use a ball valve for 3 in.  Add another 2in section of 3in and then use a 3in to 1/2in reducer and shove a 1/2in CPVC coupler in the 1/2 PVC hole.  Glue it all well and let it cure with the valve open to vent.

Wouldn't 3" PVC be a bit over-kill? A nerf dart can only be shot so hard.

True that, so, I think I will make 2 models then. A large, long range, stationary, Panzerhaubitze. Then a portable single shot one for fun, the Karabiner 98 Kurz. One made of 4" and one of 2".

Question: How do I make a pump for the smaller one (not using a bike pump)
Question: Do they make reducers from 4" to 1/2" or may I need to buy multiple reducers?

I think they have big reducers, but if not you can use a bushing.  I would just use a bike pump for both.
