I use BBs. If i'm making ones for my soon-to-be-brassed LBB, I put 2 in.
Otherwise, 1. A funny thing is I have more CDTS than FBR stefans because I have so many stock darts.

BBs are the best, I've tried some other things but BBs seem to be the perfect size and weight.

BBs are the best, use 3 for CDTS.

What weights do anyone you use for cdtg?

When I make my CDTS, I don't even put a weight. I  take the head off, cut off that little thing that goes into the dart, and put hot glue on it. I tried it with a 1/4 slingshot weight and it only went about 10 feet tongue.

They would be too light.  What gun did you shoot them out of.

Just so you know, this is about the only style of dart I use. They outperform stock darts in range and sometimes accuracy in my Longshot, Crossfire, DTG's, Nitefinder, and Wookie Bowcaster. I don't know how everybody deals with such heavy darts in lightly modded guns like mine.

I personally don't make darts (I will someday....) but I have a few questions:

What material would/do you use for a Titan Missle
Will the Darts work with the Longshot*
Is it dangerous to make/use them

*The only reason I ask this is because my LS doesnt work with the velcro darts.

I'm not sure about the first question. Yeah the LS does not work well with the tagger darts. But regular foam backer rod darts will work in a Longshot. Just make sure you glue the ends of the darts correctly....

If you have lightly modded guns dont bother making stefans. Use airsoft bbs for cdt's. And titan missle... Just cpvc the thing... We did that to my friends with a flat head and a pair of scissors. It was hitting around 110 with my darts.Stefans can be painful... Just wear glasses. And you should be fine.

I said cpvc. Its a new barrel. Unscrew the main barrel. and just push on that thing with a flat head.  then use a pocket knife or scissors and carve it out a little bit then you can cpvc its a plastic barrel.

Just don't shoot someones eye directly.  For a missile, use foam pipe covers.

The other day we wet to Ace Hardware and I finally got some FBR! Unfortuntely, I tried it in my 9/16 and it fell out. I was just wondering if anyone else uses Ace "Caulk Saver Foam Rope" and it works. Lets see, it has a somewhat shiny outer side, as if there was a plastic covering (but I dont think there is). The bag I bought was $4.49 and had 20 feet of FBR. Pic.

In the picture it says 3/8 in. but I seem to remember the real bag saying 1/2. I don't have a glue gun on this trip so I haven't had a chance to make stefans. One more thing, why exactly do people make stefans shorter than stock darts?

Hmmm well I use a different brand of FBR...I get mine at Home Depot. I think 1/2 is the right size though.
